Unlike equity funds or placement agents, we are driven by the desire to mobilize private capital at the lowest possible cost to ratepayers, households and government entities.

We believe that the primary purpose of blended finance is to make sustainable projects affordable. 

All blended finance programs successfully implemented by BFA were subject to an affordability assessment to reach optimal balance of public and privates sector funding in each program.

Our design work starts with stakeholder consultations including donors, governments, private sector investors, and intended beneficiaries. This work requires constant dialogue and reconciliation of all party interests. Based on our financial transaction experience, we can take a project from conception to implementation in a highly efficient and timely manner.
